Hey, we're ESOD 5 and we love God. We formed around September 2001 because God put us together. Unlike so many other bands that we have all been in before, this is the first one that we didn't start ourselves. So let's get this clear before you read any farther: if there's anything good about this site or our music or us, it's God's work and not ours.

Everyone asks us what our name means, and normally Christians try to make some kind of deep spiritual meaning out of it, but the truth is, it was a joke at first. You see, we live at Union University in Ebersold 5, commonly referred to as the ESOD because the sign that said 'EBERSOLD' was so old that half the letters had fallen off, leaving only 'ESOD'. We joked about calling our 'band' that if we ever had one, and it turns out that once God called us to ministry, well, the name kinda stuck. Sorry, guys, much as we'd love to have one, there's no spiritual meaning at all. OK, quit laughing, I know we're nerds...
